À 12h is a poetic proposal in which Marie-Chloé Duval presents emotional and symbolic visuals. The works on display focus on humanity, trace and porous borders. The figurative, symbolic and abstract creations explore the paradoxical nature of life. By not proposing any portrait of the painted face or any interpretation of the human being, the artist invites reflection and sees in it an almost perfect analogy with what life is: a limited perception to understand a complex reality.

The exhibition includes works painted on canvas and on photos, a set of drawings in order to put into emotion these reflections that inhabit my work. In this sense, just like Dali, the artist does not always understand her works and just like Luc Tuymans she chooses to express an idea and not an image.
